Let me ask you a question. Why do we sometimes lose our faith? Why do we sometimes focus on what is going wrong vs. what can still happen right? Have you ever felt like God has forgotten about how much you need His assistance? Have you ever been in a situation where you just wanted to give up? Have you ever started out on a project or assignment with a lot of enthusiasm and excitement and then as the days wore on you lost some if not all of your zeal for the project? I have been in all these situations more times then I care to mention in this short message. However, I have discovered that success always happened when I did not lose my faith.
What do I mean by not loosing my faith? I'm glad you asked. I am talking about continuing to believe that the situation is going to work in your favor and to your good. With keeping your faith, comes the behavior of acting like you got it even before you get it. Remember how Moses, Rehab, Abraham, Daniel, and Joseph all acted in faith and they had great Success, each and every one of them. They did this even when things looked real bad.
What about you? How is your faith hold? Are you holding on to the highest standard of faith with total and complete trust in God or has your faith dwindled down to barely nothing, almost to a point where you and/or those around you are wondering if you have any faith at all? Hebrews 11:1 says that (paraphrasing) your faith is the content and proof (evidence) of what you're believing God for. If you lose your faith your lose you proof.
If you lose your faith, what have you left God to work with? Give God your total faith and He will give you the very content of what you are believing Him for.
Whatever you do, don't lose your faith!

Yes, indeed. I struggle with my Faith. Daily. I tend to lean towards my belief that everything works for the best to those who believe in His Word. Sometimes I see and hear about things which knock smoke from my faith. I falter, only to regain that Faith a couple days later. Like I said, it's a struggle.
Maybe it's supposed to be.
On another note, congratulations to Tia for becoming a member of Team Potent Praise.
That is why it is so important for us to stay in God's word, so when we are going through we can speak life into our situations and stand firm in our Faith. The thief comes only in steal and kill and destroy. But Jesus came that I may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance {to the full, till it overflows} John 10:10. Know that, God's gracious favor is all that YOU need. His power works best in YOUR weakness 2 Corinthians 12:9 {NLT}.
When you start to feel like that think of what God has already done in your life and how he has brought you from a mighty long way. Here are some scriptures to read when it gets like that:
2 Corinthians 4:16-17
Romans 8:28
Romans 12:2
John 16:33
Psalm 30:5
Psalm 119:50
Philippians 4:11
I definitely have you in my prayers. It is always going to be a struggle, life is a struggle, but as long as we have Jesus in our lives it makes life that much easier to bear.
Thanks for sharing that with us Don :)
Whatever you do or how rough things get...DON'T LOSE YOUR FAITH!
This post was right on time, like everything else that comes from God. I'm in the process of building my faith so that my walk with God is more meaningful and apparent. I want people to see the God in me in all that I do.
God is and has been too good to me so I want to represent Christ to the fullest.
Don keep holdin' on. God meant for us to struggle some. Think about it. Every time He brings you out of a storm, you are stronger and better than before. You're a soldier in God's army. He gave everything you need to withstand whatever the enemy brings.
I agree. He may not come when you want, but he is always on time. I am definitely learning more about God's timing and how to trust and have faith that he's got my back.
