HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

This weekend all over the world, people will celebrate love. I love this holiday - it is one of my favorites. Love does amazing things for people. People who are in love are happier and feel more powerful, while someone who doesn't feel they have love in their life will feel weak and unhappy. It is a medically proven fact that people who feel loved are happier, more confident and more powerful.

Love can come from a spouse or loved one or it can come from parents and family, it may even come from a friend. We all need love - you hear it in all the songs. I wanted to make sure today that you feel loved - even if you have no parents, even if you have no spouse - you are still loved.

The Bible tells us that God is love. It also teaches us that He loved you so much that He was compelled to give His only begotten Son, so that He could have you as His own. He desires to fill you with so much love that it will overflow and you will be able to fully love others. You see, you can't give what you don't have. Until you realize and accept the love of God, you will never be able to fully love anyone else.

All that being said, let me share a few ways that show God's love for you. The love God has for you is called 'agape' love and it is a deeper love than most people will ever have apart from God. Agape love is a love that is undeserved, it is self-less, it's the love you would have seen upon the cross. It is a love that has a driving desire to give, it's also a covenant love that never retreats and is never debated - this is the love that God has for you.

He loves you whether you deserve it or not. His love for you is totally self-less. He has a driving desire to give to you. His love never retreats and can't not be debated. He will never leave you nor forsake you - He can't...He loves you too much.

While we may be more aware of our sin or our short-comings, He is utterly consumed with His love for us - isn't that amazing!

He loves us and accepts us just the way we are, but He loves us too much to leave us like we are - He wants us to receive the fullness of His love. To receive means to take hold of, seize, acquire, take possession of, to acknowledge as ones own, and to take what is already yours.

He longs for you to know exactly how He feels about you today. Did you know that your life was in God's hand long before He scattered the stars in the sky? You were created with purpose in His master plan to do a job that no one else could do. To shine in a way that only you can.

That voice that tells us that you are a failure, a nobody, is not from God. These words are enemies to your soul, to cause self-doubt and low self esteem. Satan tells us these things because he is afraid we will realize and receive Gods love and begin to walk in our destiny of fullness. If you can get a glimpse of God's never ending love for you, you will stand up and be the history maker that you were created to be. His love will empower you to do that.

As we celebrate love this month, know that God is celebrating you. He loves you so much and until you receive that love you can't fully love anyone else. Today, receive His love and know that He will never leave you nor forsake you. He wants to pour out His love on you today and show you how much He truly loves you - allow Him to do that.

You can't celebrate love without celebrating God - for He is love, and His love is all for you. I want to leave you today with a few scriptures to meditate on; these will give you a picture of how much you are loved.

He loves you so much that He tattooed a picture of you on His hand so you would always be before His face. Isaiah 49:16

You are being prayed for night and day. Romans 8:34

God will never leave you nor forsake you. Hebrews 13:5, 1 Cor. 13:8

He favors you. Psalm 5:12

He desires you. Song of Solomon 7:19

He draws you. Jeremiah 31:3

He knows you best and loves you most. Jeremiah 1:5

He longs to console you. Isaiah 51:3

He longs to heal you. Psalm 103:3

Be Blessed,

Christians

by Maya Angelou

'A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ

that a man should have to seek Him first to find her.'

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not shouting 'I'm clean livin''

I'm whispering 'I was lost, Now I'm found and forgiven.'

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I don't speak of this with pride.

I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not trying to be strong.

I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not bragging of success.

I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not claiming to be perfect,

My flaws are far too visible but, God believes I am worth it.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I still feel the sting of pain..

I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.

When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not holier than thou,

I'm just a simple sinner Who received God's good grace, somehow!

Pretty is as Pretty does... but beautiful is just plain beautiful!

Small Straws In A Soft Wind by Marsha Burns

Ask for the conviction of My Spirit, says the Lord. It is a most precious gift that compels you to be persuaded of any error and to admit the truth. It will benefit you greatly to seek My face and come into My presence, but when you are hindered it is because something needs to be set right. Ask of Me and I will show you the things that hinder your spiritual progression. Come and see what stands between you and Me, and I will give you the strength to overcome.
1 Peter 3:12 For the eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayers; but the face of the LORD is against those who do evil.
