A month later I got baptized in the Jungle. (I wish I could say that I got baptized in the lake but I didn't, but I was in the Jungle, my last time) I wish I could describe the feeling when I came up out of the water. But this is the picture I can paint. Before, I had been carrying around this big burden that was weighing me down. When I came out of the water, it was like God just washed it away. I felt free, light, happy inside and out. Since then, my life has changed (in a good way). God is 100% part of my life. I'm serving Him where ever He wants me. I never wanted to be a teacher, but God knows us so much better and He has a great sense of humor. When I was a senior in high school (in Ecuador), I was a teacher's assistant for a fourth grade class. The best class I've ever been in. I already knew the teacher from my ministry (the orphanage) in school. She had told my parents that I would make a great teacher and that I should think about it, so I did.

A Life Like No Other...Continued
by Bethany Seavey
I took year off after I graduated and went to a Bible College in Europe. It was there that God renewed my calling to be a missionary teacher. I wanted to know if that was what he wanted me to do and not just me wanting to do it. It was there that God began to mold me and shape me. It was the best year of my life. I wanted to go because I wanted to grow in my walk with God, and to know more of who He was and I did just that! After that, I went to Columbia International University in South Carolina. I was there for 4 years and graduated in May of 2007 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. It's been a year since I have graduated. I really wanted to go overseas and teach and start what God has called me to do. God showed me that anything is possible with Him. God has been growing me and preparing me for what He has planned for me. I'm just following Him, doing what He says. It's been hard yes, but when you follow God and do what He says, it's a wonderful feeling.
A month later I got baptized in the Jungle. (I wish I could say that I got baptized in the lake but I didn't, but I was in the Jungle, my last time) I wish I could describe the feeling when I came up out of the water. You are a great woman of God and I am excited about what he is doing in your life. You have a wonderful spirit. Continue to let him use you.
See you soon!
Wow! That is amazing that you got to experience all of that. I still can not believe that you actually lived in a jungle! That is so cool...
We look forward to hearing some of your missionary stories as a young missionary kid and even now as an adult missionary.
Be blessed!
